FF UNAIR students have once again achieved a remarkable milestone. David Vincentius, a student in the 121st batch of the Professional Pharmacy Program, has earned the title of the top-performing graduate nationwide in the National Competency Examination for Pharmacy Profession Students (UKOMNAS PDPA).
According to the official announcement released today, April 6, 2026, David successfully secured the highest score in the examination, which was held simultaneously across Indonesia on March 1, 2026. This outstanding result places him at the top position among all participants in the country for this period.
The secret behind the success
"During my PKPA, I made a conscious effort to understand every task assigned to me, whether it was theoretical or technical. For instance, while at the pharmacy, I focused on learning the regulations and the underlying principles governing our practice. I also made sure to maximize every learning opportunity provided by my preceptor."
He believes this approach was instrumental, as it allowed him to study for the national examination while gaining hands-on, real-world experience during his rotation.
Systematic Support from the Faculty
David emphasized that his success was deeply rooted in the supportive educational system at FF UNAIR. He noted that the internal "Try Outs" (TO) conducted by the faculty were instrumental in helping students transparently monitor their academic progress.
Furthermore, he identified the comprehensive examinations held at the end of each PKPA rotation as a crucial factor in sharpening student readiness.
"The comprehensive exams for each PKPA field challenged us to think holistically about the competencies required of a pharmacist. Topics that may not have been covered in-depth during regular lectures became much clearer through this process," David added.
FF UNAIR Achieves a Perfect 100% Pass Rate
The celebratory news announced today is made even more significant by the performance of the entire cohort. Beyond producing the top-ranked graduate nationally, FF UNAIR also recorded a perfect 100% pass rate for all its students in this period’s UKOMNAS PDPA.
