FF UNAIR Receives Visit from UMY Pharmacy Program, Strengthens Academic Collaboration Opportunities

The Faculty of Pharmacy at Universitas Airlangga (FF UNAIR) received an academic visit from the Pharmacy Study Program of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) at Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) on Wednesday, June 24, 2026. The activity held in the Conference Room of the Nani Building, Campus C UNAIR, proceeded smoothly in a warm and cordial atmosphere.

The arrival of the UMY delegation was warmly welcomed by the FF UNAIR leadership team. This meeting served as a platform to share experiences, strengthen academic networks, and explore various cooperation opportunities that could support the development of education, research, and community service in the field of pharmacy.

The delegation from the Pharmacy Study Program of FKIK UMY present during the visit consisted of Dr. apt. Rifki Febriansah, M.Sc. as Chair of the Pharmacy Study Program, apt. Hari Widada, M.Sc. from the Quality Assurance Unit of FKIK UMY, Dr. apt. M.T. Ghozali, M.Sc. as Chair of the Pharmacy Management Department, apt. Sri Tasminatun, M.Si. as Coordinator of the Pharmacist Professional Laboratory, Dr. apt. M. Fariez Kurniawan, M.Farm. as Head of the Pharmaceutical Physics Department, apt. Indra Putra Taufani, Ph.D. as Head of the Pharmaceutical Physics Department, and apt. Puguh Novi Arsito, Ph.D. as Coordinator of the Pharmaceutical Laboratory.

In the discussion session, both institutions discussed various strategic topics related to program management, curriculum development, quality assurance systems, research strengthening, and efforts to improve the quality of pharmaceutical education. The meeting was also utilized to explore collaboration potential that could be realized through academic activities and joint research in the future.

Beyond the discussion agenda, the UMY delegation was also taken to tour several laboratory facilities operated by FF UNAIR. This laboratory tour activity provided an opportunity for the UMY delegation to directly observe the facilities and infrastructure supporting learning and research available within FF UNAIR.

This activity also aligns with efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Goal 4 on Quality Education and SDGs Goal 17 on Partnership for the Goals, through strengthening academic cooperation and knowledge exchange among higher education institutions.
