The IGSCPS 2025 Pre-Conference Workshop in Collaboration with PUI-PT SCT Was Successfully Held
The Pre-Conference Workshop of the 2025 International Graduate Student Conference on Pharmaceutical Sciences (IGSCPS) was successfully held on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, in the Nanizar Zaman Joenoes Building Meeting Room, Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Airlangga. The event, which raised the topic "In Vitro and In Vivo Effectiveness Test of Anti-Aging Cosmetic Delivery System," was made possible through a collaboration between IGSCPS and the Center for Excellence in Science and Technology of the College of Dermatology and Cosmetic Technology (PUI-PT SCT).
The workshop featured two experts from PUI-PT SCT as keynote speakers. Prof. Dr. apt. Noorma Rosita, M.Si., Secretary of PUI-PT SCT, delivered a presentation titled "Precision in Focus: Anti-Aging: Mechanism, Cosmetic Delivery System, and Effectiveness Test of Delivery System." In her presentation, Prof. Noorma emphasized the importance of understanding the mechanisms of skin aging and developing effective cosmetic delivery systems.
Meanwhile, Prof. apt. Rr. Retno Widyowati, M.Pharm., Ph.D., a member of the PUI-PT SCT, presented the topic "In Vitro Study of Anti-aging Effectiveness." Prof. Retno outlined various in vitro research findings that demonstrate the potential for developing evidence-based anti-aging cosmetic products.
In addition to the material sessions, the workshop also provided participants with valuable experience through practical in vitro skin quality testing using dermalab, one of the leading research tools owned by PUI-PT SCT. This activity garnered high enthusiasm from participants, as they were able to directly understand scientific skin quality testing methods.
The success of this workshop is expected to enrich the insights of young academics and researchers in the field of pharmaceutical science, particularly regarding skin health and cosmetic technology, which are also aligned with SDGs 3. This activity is also expected to serve as a strong opening for the main series of IGSCPS 2025.
