Vice Dean I of FF UNAIR, Prof. apt. Helmy Yusuf, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D., attended the ASEAN Pharmacy Dean’s Meeting 2026 held on Tuesday, September 8, 2026. The activity took place at the Learning Theatre, Taylo’s University Lakeside Campus, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and was organized by the School of Pharmacy, Taylor’s University.
The ASEAN Pharmacy Dean’s Meeting is a strategic forum that brings together leaders and representatives of pharmaceutical education institutions in the ASEAN region. This year, the meeting was attended by approximately 30 deans and representatives from ASEAN PharmNET member institutions from nine countries.
Prof. apt. Helmy Yusuf's participation in this forum represented FF UNAIR's ongoing efforts to strengthen international networks and collaboration, particularly with pharmaceutical education institutions in the ASEAN region. The forum also served as a space to exchange ideas, experiences, and perspectives regarding the development of pharmaceutical education and science at the regional level.
The ASEAN Pharmacy Dean's Meeting 2026 was organized as a pre-conference activity before the 5th ASEAN PharmNET Conference 2026. The conference, also organized by the School of Pharmacy at Taylor's University, will take place on September 9–11, 2026, at M World Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
FF UNAIR's presence at the ASEAN Pharmacy Dean's Meeting demonstrated its commitment to expanding academic cooperation and strengthening its role in the ASEAN pharmaceutical education network. The forum is expected to open opportunities for broader collaboration, including in education, research, and human resource development in the future.
