
FF UNAIR conducted a series of Reception of Students Period 124 for the Pharmacist Professional Education Program on August 5-7, 2026. The entire activities took place in room 5.2 of the Nanizar Zaman Joenoes (NANI) Building, Campus C Universitas Airlangga, as an initial step in preparing students to enter professional education that would shape the competence and professionalism of prospective pharmacists.
The series of activities opened on the first day with an Explanation of Academic Regulations of the Pharmacist Professional Education Program at FF UNAIR Presented by the Program Coordinator. Subsequently, the Reception of Students for the Pharmacist Professional Educational Program Period 124 was conducted, followed by the Recitation of the Oath of Prospective Pharmacists guided by the Dean of FF UNAIR. This moment became a symbol of students’ initial commitment to pursue professional education while upholding ethics, integrity, and responsibility as prospective pharmaceutical personnel.
Also on the first day, students received briefings regarding Community Pharmacy and Hospital Pharmacy, two practice fields that form important pillars in pharmaceutical services in Indonesia. The activity also presented a sharing session with alumni, which provided inspiration and shared experiences regarding challenges and opportunities after completing professional education. Additionally, students attended personal development materials that included Time Management, Curriculum Vitae and Study Plan, and Integrity and Honesty, as preparation for building an excellent and ethical professional character.
On the second day, students received briefings regarding Community Pharmacy and Hospital Pharmacy, two practice fields that form important pillars in pharmaceutical services in Indonesia. The activity also presented a sharing session with alumni, which provided inspiration and shared experiences regarding challenges and opportunities after completing professional education. Additionally, students attended personal development materials that included Time Management, Curriculum Vitae and Study Plan, and Integrity and Honesty, as preparation for building an excellent and ethical professional character.
The series of activities closed on the third day with an introduction to further study opportunities through the Master’s program in Pharmaceutical Science and Master’s Program in Clinical Pharmacy at FF UNAIR. Students also received material regarding the Career Landscape for Pharmacists, which provided insights into the diverse career prospects in the pharmaceutical field, both in service, industry, distribution, government, academic, and research sectors. As preparation for facing the National Competency Test, participants also received briefings regarding the Blueprint for the National Competency Test for Pharmacist Professional Education Program (UKOMNAS PDPA) for Computer Based Test (CBT) and Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) methods.
Through this comprehensive orientation series, FF UNAIR is committed to creating a conducive learning environment while equipping students with academic understanding, professional competence, and integrity-based character. It is hoped that all students of the Pharmacist Professional Education Program Period 124 will be able to pursue the education process optimally and be ready to become competent, adaptive pharmacists who provide real contributions to improving the quality of healthcare services in Indonesia.
