
FF UNAIR received a visit from Assoc. Prof. Bimo A. Tedjo from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Malaysia, on Friday, July 10, 2026. This visit was an important moment in strengthening international academic networks, particularly through discussing opportunities for joint research between the two institutions. Assoc. Prof. Bimo A. Tedjo is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Science UPM with expertise in bioinformatics, medicinal chemistry, and structural biology.
The activity began with a warm welcome from the leadership and staff of FF UNAIR. A cordial atmosphere characterized the meeting, which took place as part of efforts to strengthen institutional relationships while opening opportunities for wider collaboration in research and development of pharmaceutical science.
During this occasion, the Dean of FF UNAIR expressed appreciation for the visit of Assoc. Prof. Bimo A. Tedjo and his commitment to building sustainable cooperation. The Dean emphasized that international collaboration plays a strategic role in improving research quality, expanding academic networks, and producing innovations that provide benefits to society.
“This collaboration is very important for the development of research at FF UNAIR. We hope that the synergy that has been established can continue to grow through various joint research projects, exchange of knowledge, and other collaborative programs,” said the Dean of FF UNAIR.
The main agenda of the meeting focused on a strategic meeting that discussed opportunities for joint research. Various collaboration potentials were discussed, ranging from the development of research topics of mutual interest, international scientific publications, to strengthening cooperation among researchers from both institutions.
This visit represents concrete support from FF UNAIR in realizing Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) point 17: partnership for the goals, which emphasizes the importance of global partnerships in strengthening research capacity, innovation, and sustainable development.
