Following the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Hunan University of Medicine, China, the Faculty of Pharmacy at Universitas Airlangga (FF UNAIR) continued its agenda with a strategic meeting held at the Nani Building, Campus C UNAIR, on Friday, June 19, 2026.
The Hunan University of Medicine delegation, consisting of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cao Liang, Liu Xianjiu, and Lan Yangfu, was warmly welcomed by the FF UNAIR leadership team. The strategic meeting served as a discussion forum to explore various collaboration opportunities that could be developed in the future, particularly in the fields of education, research, and community service. This activity also represented an initial step in realizing the implementation of the cooperation that had been agreed upon through the signing of the MoA.
Beyond discussions, the delegation from Hunan University of Medicine was also taken on a tour of various laboratories operated by FF UNAIR. The visit provided an overview of the educational and research facilities available as well as various academic activities.
Experiencing Indonesian culture also became part of the delegation's itinerary. They were invited to attend the Jamu Fest 2026 taking place on the FF UNAIR campus. During this occasion, the delegation had the opportunity to sample various traditional herbal remedies created by students and gain a closer understanding of the richness of Indonesia's traditional medicine heritage.
The delegation's enthusiasm became even more evident when they tried a traditional Indonesian game, congklak. This activity became a moment that strengthened inter-institutional relationships while introducing Indonesian culture to international partners in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.
