
The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Airlangga (FF UNAIR), held the ANDROMA product launch on Friday, February 6, 2026. The event took place in the Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry KBK Room on the 3rd floor of the Faculty of Pharmacy, and was attended by FF UNAIR leaders, members of the Center for Ethnomedicine Research and Traditional Medicine Development (E-ITMED), and several lecturers from the Faculty of Pharmacy.
ANDROMA is a herbal product owned by E-ITMED that has completed the industrial production stage in collaboration with CV Mitra. This product also has a Distribution and Permit, making it ready for public use. ANDROMA is made from Andrographis paniculata, a herbal plant known for its potential to help maintain health, especially for cancer patients.
This launch event marks the successful downstreaming of UNAIR Faculty of Pharmacy research results, from academic research to a marketable, marketable product. The Faculty of Pharmacy (FF) UNAIR leadership expressed its appreciation for the collaboration and hard work of the E-ITMED team in developing competitive ethnomedicine-based products that are oriented towards community needs.
Through the launch of the ANDROMA product, the Faculty of Pharmacy (FPharmacy) UNAIR demonstrates its commitment to supporting the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) point 9, namely Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure. This innovation is expected to continue encouraging the development of research-based traditional medicinal products and strengthen the role of universities in the development of the national health industry.
