The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Airlangga (FF UNAIR) once again held an international-level academic event through a guest lecture featuring Dr. Haribondhu Sarma, MSS., Ph.D., an academic from the Australian National University (ANU). The event took place in Classroom 6.6 and was enthusiastically received by the FF UNAIR academic community.
The guest lecture was attended by the Vice Dean III of FF UNAIR, Mrs. apt. Elida Zairina, S.Si., MPH., PhD., FISQua., and the Secretary of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Prof. apt. Rr. Retno Widyowati, S.Si., M.Pharm., Ph.D. Several FF UNAIR lecturers were also present to accompany the event. Students from various classes also filled the room to listen directly to the presentation from the international speaker.
On this occasion, Dr. Haribondhu Sarma delivered a presentation entitled "Strengthening Health Resilience: The Role of Pharmacists in Global Health Systems and Nutrition-Based Interventions." In his presentation, Dr. Sarma emphasized the importance of pharmacists in strengthening the resilience of global health systems, particularly through nutrition-based interventions. He also encouraged students to adopt a global perspective in addressing increasingly complex public health challenges.
This guest lecture provided a valuable platform for the exchange of knowledge and international insights for Faculty of Pharmacy UNAIR students and lecturers. It is hoped that this activity will further motivate the academic community of the Faculty of Pharmacy UNAIR to actively contribute to the development of health systems, both nationally and globally.
