Faculty of Medicine (FF) UNAIR Holds Socialization on Mitigating Paper and Redflag Journal Retractions with the Head of LIPJPHKI UNAIR
The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Airlangga (FF UNAIR) held a Socialization of Retraction Paper and Redflag Journal Mitigation on Monday, November 3, 2025. This activity took place in the Main Meeting Room of the Nanizar Zaman Joenoes Building and was attended by lecturers and postgraduate students in the FF UNAIR environment.
In this activity, FF UNAIR presented a resource person, Mr. Ferry Efendi, S.Kep., Ns., M.Sc., Ph.D., who currently serves as the Head of the Institute for Innovation, Journal Development, and Intellectual Property Rights Management (LIPJPHKI) of Airlangga University.
Through this outreach, participants gained a deep understanding of the importance of mitigating potential paper retractions and how to recognize and avoid journal red flags in scientific publications. Dr. Ferry emphasized that vigilance and publication literacy are key to maintaining academic integrity and the institution's reputation.
This activity is in line with FF UNAIR's commitment to upholding academic integrity and the quality of scientific publications of its academic community. It is hoped that through this outreach, lecturers and researchers will be more careful in choosing journals and will be able to anticipate potential publication problems in the future.
