A lecturer from the National University of Malaysia shares his experience in researching natural anti-infective products at the Faculty of Medicine, Airlangga University (FF UNAIR).

Following a guest lecture session with Prof. Natsuhisa Oka from Gifu University, the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Airlangga (FF UNAIR), continued its scientific activities by presenting Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jalifah Latip from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). The guest lecture was held on Thursday, October 23, 2025, in Lecture Room 5.1, FF UNAIR.

The event was attended by hundreds of FF UNAIR students who enthusiastically listened to the material presented. Several lecturers also attended and actively participated in the dynamic discussion session.

Dr. Jalifah Latip presented a presentation entitled "Deciphering the Potential of Natural Products as Antiinfective Agents - the UKM Experience." Through her presentation, she explained the immense potential of natural ingredients as anti-infective agents and shared her research experience at UKM regarding the development of bioactive compounds from tropical natural resources.

This activity not only provided new insights into the development of natural-based drugs but also served as an important platform for expanding FF UNAIR's international academic network. With the presence of experts from Malaysia and Japan on the same day, the spirit of internationalization and cross-border research collaboration within the faculty was even stronger.
