Faculty of Pharmacy Universitas Airlangga and the University of Queensland, Australia, held a strategic meeting in Australia to discuss the implementation of double degrees
The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Airlangga (FF UNAIR), continues to strengthen its international network and improve educational quality by holding a strategic meeting and discussing the implementation of a double degree agreement with the Master of Pharmaceutical Industry Practice program at the University of Queensland (UQ), Australia. This event took place on September 22–24, 2025, at the University of Queensland campus.
At the meeting, FF UNAIR delegated Prof. apt. Dewi Melani Hariyadi, S.Si., M.Phil., Ph.D., Dean of FF UNAIR, accompanied by Dr. apt. Riesta Primaharinastiti, S.Si., M.Si. This strategic agenda discussed the technical steps for implementing the previously agreed-upon double degree program, including lecture mechanisms, curriculum equivalency, and joint research opportunities between students and lecturers of both institutions.
This collaboration is one of FF UNAIR's efforts to provide a global educational experience for Master of Pharmaceutical Science students. The collaboration with the University of Queensland will provide students with broader opportunities to gain international perspectives, particularly in the field of pharmaceutical industry practice.
This meeting also served as a momentum to strengthen both parties' commitment to supporting the internationalization of higher education. With the implementation of this double degree program, it is hoped that graduates of the Master of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MPS) program at Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Airlangga (FF), will have global competitiveness and superior competencies in the field of industrial pharmacy, both nationally and internationally.
The collaboration between Faculty of Pharmacy (FF) UNAIR and the University of Queensland to improve the quality of education in the pharmaceutical field will impact health outcomes. This aligns with SDGs point 17, "Partnership for the Goals."
