Some Students Are Willing to Come to the Front of the Class to Ask Questions
Once again, the Faculty of Pharmacy, Airlangga University (FF UNAIR) received a visit. Different from the previous visit which was carried out by a university, namely Bali International University, this time FF UNAIR received a visit from a high school.
On Tuesday (3/10/2023) morning, State Senior High School (SMAN) 2 Sidoarjo visited FF UNAIR. Approximately 200 people consisting of teachers, staff and students filled room 5.1 of the Nanizar Zaman Joenoes Building as the place where this agenda was held.
This group was welcomed with open arms by the Student Affairs Commission Coordinator, Mr. apt. Ahmad Dzulfikri Nurhan, S.Farm., M.Farm. along with several members of the Student Executive Board (BEM) and FF UNAIR staff who served on this agenda.
The event was opened by Clarinna, the event guide who is a member of UNAIR Pharmacy Ambassadors. Then continued with remarks delivered by Mr. apt. Ahmad Dzulfikri Nurhan, S.Farm., M.Farm. representing the FF UNAIR leadership who was unable to attend at that time. Furthermore, representatives of the Principal from SMAN 2 Sidoarjo also delivered their remarks.
After the speech was over, the agenda moved to the FF UNAIR introduction session. Apart from showing videos of FF UNAIR profiles and facilities, Mr. apt. Ahmad Dzulfikri Nurhan, S.Farm., M.Farm. as well as BEM members who are tasked with providing presentations regarding university life at FF UNAIR.
After the presentation regarding FF UNAIR was delivered, of course the agenda shifted to a question and answer session. It turned out that this session was the time the students had been waiting for. How could it not be, many of them immediately raised their hands as a sign that they wanted to ask a question. Some of them were not even shy about coming to the front of the class to ask questions that were on their minds.
Mr. apt. Ahmad Dzulfikri Nurhan, S.Farm., M.Farm. not only assisted by members of BEM FF UNAIR to answer participants' questions. Because there were also alumni of SMAN 2 Sidoarjo who were successfully accepted as UNAIR students this year. One of them is a new FF UNAIR student himself. They one by one answered the questions asked by the students in detail and precisely.
Their questions were quite varied, starting from asking for details of pathways and exams to become a UNAIR student, courses, scholarships, and even funnily enough, some even asked what the characteristics of lecturers at FF UNAIR were. Many of them also want to know tips and tricks for becoming a good student.
"You have to prepare yourself for lectures, so for example in the evening you find out or read the material that the lecturer will present in class tomorrow," said Clarinna.
At that time, more than 10 questions had been answered and actually there were still many more students who wanted to ask questions. However, due to time constraints, the question and answer session had to end.
