The Dean of FF UNAIR, Prof. apt. Dewi Melani Hariyadi, attended a series of agendas at the 5th International Health Promotion Conference held on Wednesday, October 14, 2026. The activity took place at the Garuda Mukti Hall, Management Office, Campus C UNAIR, Surabaya.
One of the agendas within the conference carried the theme “AUN-HPN Youth Projects on Health Promotion: One Health-Based University Health Promotion Strategies for Improving Healthy Lifestyle Behaviors on Campus.” this theme highlighted the importance of the roles of young people and higher education institutions in developing health promotion strategies based on a One Health approach to improve healthy lifestyle behaviors within the campus environment.
The One Health approach emphasizes the interconnection between human, animal, and environmental health. In the context of higher education, this approach can serve as a foundation for building campus environments that support healthy behaviors, raise awareness of health issues, and encourage active participation of the academic community in promotive and preventive efforts.
The Dean’s attendance at this agenda represented support for strengthening health promotion within higher education environments. As an institution focused on pharmaceutical sciences, FF UNAIR has a strategic role in supporting improved health literacy, rational medication use, and the implementation of healthy lifestyle behaviors through education, research, and community service.
FF UNAIR’s participation in this activity aligns with the commitment of higher education institutions to support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, through strengthening health awareness and forming sustainable healthy lifestyle behaviors.
