FF UNAIR continues to strengthen international academic networks through a sharing session with Dr. Khalid Ahmad Ali Al Sunairdar from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) Royal College of Medicine Perak, Malaysia. The activity took place on September 22, 2026, at the Department of Practical Pharmacy, Nani Building, Campus C UNAIR.
Carrying the theme “The Role of Health Insurance and Health Policy in Pharmaceutical Care and Access to Medicines,” this activity served as a platform for exchanging knowledge regarding the role of health policy and health insurance systems in supporting pharmaceutical services and public access to medicines.
The sharing session was attended by several FF UNAIR faculty members and students. Through this forum, participants had opportunities to discuss various aspects related to health policy, healthcare financing, and their relationship with pharmaceutical practice.
Dr. Khalid Ahmad Ali Al-Sunaidar shared academic insights and experiences regarding how health policy and health insurance schemes can influence medicine availability, affordability, and public access to medications. The discussion also highlighted the importance of pharmaceutical professionals' roles in supporting patient-centered healthcare services.
This activity also represented part of FF UNAIR's efforts to expand academic interaction with international partners. The presence of academics from UniKL is expected to open opportunities for knowledge exchange, experience sharing, and development of collaboration in education, research, and pharmaceutical practice in line with SDG 17.
