FF UNAIR successfully organized the International Graduate Student Conference on Pharmaceutical Sciences (IGSCPS) 2026 on Saturday, September 19, 2026. Held at the Nani Building, Campus C UNAIR, the activity brought together graduate students, academics, researchers, and practitioners from various countries to discuss pharmaceutical science developments and future healthcare service challenges.
Carrying the theme “The Value Impact: Bridging Pharmaceutical Science and Clinical Practice for a Sustainable Global Future,” IGSCPS 2026 served as an academic forum connecting pharmaceutical science advancements with the continuously evolving needs of clinical practice.
The conference responded to the rapidly developing global health landscape, particularly with the emergence of the Pharmacy 4.0 concept, digital health transformation, artificial intelligence (AI), and value-based healthcare service development.
Through the conference, participants were invited to explore how innovative science, economic evaluation, and sustainability principles can be integrated into healthcare solution development. This integration is expected to support the creation of patient-centered healthcare services that are effective and cost-efficient while contributing to sustainable development.
IGSCPS 2026 also possessed a strong international dimension. The conference was attended by speakers and participants from various countries, including Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Japan, and Indonesia. The presence of participants from diverse country and institutional backgrounds enriched perspectives in discussions regarding pharmaceutical science and practice developments at the global level.
Beyond material presentations and discussions, the conference also featured oral presentations as a platform for participants to present their research results and scientific ideas. This session provided an opportunity for students and researchers to exchange knowledge, receive academic feedback, and build networks with fellow researchers from various countries.
The organization of IGSCPS 2026 simultaneously affirmed FF UNAIR's commitment to strengthening an academic atmosphere open to international collaboration and scientific advancement. This forum is expected to encourage the emergence of ideas and innovations capable of bridging pharmaceutical research results with their implementation in clinical practice.
Furthermore, the sustainability spirit promoted in the conference aligned with efforts supporting the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 on healthy life. The cross-country and cross-disciplinary collaboration built through IGSCPS also represented part of strengthening global networks in advancing scientific knowledge and health innovations in accordance with SDG 17.
