FF UNAIR continues to demonstrate its commitment to strengthening international networks and collaboration in the pharmaceutical field. Two FF UNAIR lectures participated in The 5th ASEAN PharmNET Conference 2026, held on September 9-11, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The two FF UNAIR representatives were Prof. apt. Helmy Yusuf, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D., serving as Vice Dean I on FF UNAIR, and Dr. apt. Zamrotul Izzah, S.Farm., M.Sc., who is the Secretary of the Department of Practical Pharmacy. The activity was organized by Taylor’s University Malaysia as part of efforts to strengthen connectivity within the pharmaceutical community across the ASEAN region.
Carrying the theme "ASEAN Pharmacy Network for the Future: Integrating Education, Practice and Research Across Region," the conference served as a platform for academics, practitioners, researchers, and healthcare stakeholders from various ASEAN countries to exchange ideas, experiences, and innovations in addressing developments in the pharmaceutical field.
The ASEAN PharmNET Conference 2026 presented perspectives oriented toward strengthening networks and providing practical solutions to various healthcare service challenges. The conference's focus encompassed safer medication use, development of smarter healthcare systems, collaboration in healthcare services, and strengthening pharmaceutical practice readiness to face the future amid rapidly changing healthcare service landscapes.
The participation of Prof. apt. Helmy Yusuf and Dr. apt. Zamrotul Izzah represented an important contribution from FF UNAIR in building academic and professional relationships at the regional level. Through this forum, FF UNAIR was able to share insights and experiences while gaining new perspectives regarding pharmaceutical education, practice, and research developments in ASEAN countries.
