FF UNAIR held a gathering and meeting with parents of new students from the 2026 cohort on August 23, 2026. The activity, held at the Auditorium of the Nani Building, Campus C UNAIR, became an opportunity for FF UNAIR to introduce the academic environment while building close communication with parents of new students.
In a warm and cordial atmosphere, all parents of new students were welcomed by the FF UNAIR leadership. This meeting provided an opportunity for the faculty to provide an overview of academic life, various supporting facilities, and student development programs that can support the educational process during their studies at FF UNAIR.
The activity began with a presentation on FF UNAIR's profile by the Dean, Prof. apt. Dewi Melani Hariyadi, M.Phil., Ph.D. In her presentation, she introduced various aspects of FF UNAIR, ranging from the academic environment and learning support facilities to various opportunities available for students to develop their potential.
Beyond focusing on academic activities, Prof. Dewi also explained various self-development programs for students. These programs include opportunities to participate in various competitions, student activities, and student outbound programs abroad. Various programs are expected to provide broader experiences for students while enhancing their competencies, self-confidence, organizational abilities, and international perspectives.
During this occasion, parents also received explanations regarding various facilities available at FF UNAIR. These facilities are expected to support students in the learning process, research, competency development, and student activities while on campus.
The next session featured an interactive dialogue between parents of new students and the FF UNAIR leadership. Parents were given opportunities to ask various questions, both regarding academic processes and student life during their education. These questions were directly answered by the faculty leadership and the Student Executive Body (BEM) of FF UNAIR as student representatives.
This gathering not only served as an introduction to FF UNAIR for parents of new students but also represented an initial step in building communication and trust between student families and the faculty. With mutual support, students are expected to be able to utilize various available opportunities to develop and achieve success during their studies at FF UNAIR.
