The chair of the Students Executive Body (BEM) of FF UNAIR delivered an inspiring oration to new students during AMERTA orientation on Thursday, July 30, 2026. Through this oration, new students were invited to understand the meaning of their journey as pharmaceutical professionals while fostering spirit in pursuing the education process as prospective pharmaceutical personnel who are excellent and impactful.
In his presentation, BEM CHAIR of FF UNAIR, M. Kharero, or affectionately known as Rero, emphasized that FF UNAIR has achieved numerous accomplishments and is recognized as one of the best pharmacy faculties in Indonesia. These achievements arose from the commitment of all academic community members to maintain education quality, research, and community service, and consistency in producing competent, integrity-driven pharmacists who uphold professional values.
Furthermore, new students were introduced to three values that form the identity of FF UNAIR pharmacy professionals: integrity, knowledge, and care. These three values were expected to form the foundation for each student in pursuing academic life and when dedicating themselves to society. Beyond emphasizing the importance of competence, the oration also invited students to always possess social concern and courage to present solutions through pharmaceutical science.
The BEM Chair of FF UNAIR also reminded students that the journey toward the profession of pharmacist is not an easy one. Each student will face various challenges that demand perseverance, discipline, and a spirit to continue learning and developing. However, through each of these processes will emerge prospective pharmacists who are not only academically excellent but also capable of making a real impact on the advancement of public health and development of the pharmaceutical field.
Closing his oration, Rero delivered a welcome message to all new students: “Welcome, welcome to join us, and welcome to the process at the Faculty of Pharmacy Universitas Airlangga.” The atmosphere then became even more vibrant when all participants together echoed the battle cry: “Hidup Mahasiswa! Hidup Rakyat Indonesia! Hidup Farmasi Indonesia! Farmasi Berdikari! Farmasi Jaya! Jaya! Jaya!" This shout served as a conclusion that inspired spirit and marked the beginning of new students’ journey as part of the extended family of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Universitas Airlangga.
