Representing the Dean of FF UNAIR, Vice Dean III, apt. Elida Zairina, S.Si., MPH., Ph.D., attended the Certificate Handover Ceremony for Good Manufacturing Practice (CPOB) to PT. Selatox Bio Pharma as well as the Grand Opening of the biopharmaceutical manufacturing facility of PT Selatox Bio Pharma in Indonesia. This activity was held on Monday, July 20, 2026, in Bekasi.
This event represented an important milestone for PT. Selatox Bio Pharma in strengthening national biopharmaceutical industry capacity through the presence of a manufacturing facility that has met the standards of Good Manufacturing Practice (CPOB). The presence of various stakeholders from government, academia, and industry reflected a shared commitment to promoting Indonesian pharmaceutical industry independence and improving the quality of biopharmaceutical products that are safe, high quality, and competitive.
During this activity, Dr. Elida Zairina was present together with leaders and representatives from pharmacy faculties from various leading universities in Indonesia. Among them were the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy Universitas Padjajaran (UNPAD), Dean of the School of Pharmacy at Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), and representatives from the University of Indonesia (UI) and Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). The presence of these academics reflected strong support from higher education institutions for the development of the national biopharmaceutical industry and the importance of collaboration between the academic and industrial sectors in promoting innovation, research, and development of health products in Indonesia.
FF UNAIR’s participation in this activity also continued the good relationship that had been established with PT. Selatox Bio Pharma. In april 2026, PT. Selatox Bio Pharma visited FF UNAIR to explore opportunities for cooperation in education, research, innovation, and pharmaceutical industry development. That meeting opened a space for discussion regarding various collaboration potentials that could benefit both institutions.
This activity aligns with the implementation of SDGs particularly SDGs 17 (Partnership for the Goals), through strengthening collaboration between higher education institutions and industry in supporting the advancement of the national health sector.
