Vice Dean I of FF UNAIR attended a Regional Working Meeting (Rakerda) and training program titled “Pharmacists in the AI Era: From Quality Guardian to Data-Driven Decision Maker,” organized through a collaboration between the Indonesian Pharmacist Association (IAI) and the Association of Industrial Pharmacy Enthusiasts (Hisfarin). The activity took place on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at the Mercure Grand Mirama Hotel Surabaya.
This activity served as an important platform for pharmacists, academics, and pharmaceutical practitioners to strengthen their understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) technology developments and their application in the pharmaceutical field. Amid increasingly rapid digital transformation, pharmacists are required to play not only the role of quality guardians but also data-driven decision makers.
Through various training sessions and discussions, participants gained insights into the utilization of AI in supporting decision-making processes, data management, operational efficiency improvements, and strengthening quality assurance systems in the pharmaceutical sector. The material presented also highlighted the importance of human resource readiness in facing the increasingly digitalized landscape of the healthcare and pharmaceuticals industries.
The presence of Vice Dean I of FF UNAIR in this activity reflects FF’s commitment to continuing to follow the latest developments in science and technology while strengthening networks with professional organizations and stakeholders in the pharmaceutical field.
