The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Airlangga (FF UNAIR) once again made its presence felt on the international stage through the participation of Vice Dean III, apt. Elida Zairina, S.Si., MPH., PhD., FISQua., as a speaker at a community service event organized by Universiti Teknologi MARA on May 13, 2026.
The event, titled "Pendidikan Kesihatan dan Keselamatan Wanita Hamil" (Health Education and Safety for Pregnant Women), was held in Puncak Alam, Malaysia, and attended by community members and participants with a shared interest in maternal and expectant mother health. The program served as a health education platform aimed at raising public awareness on the importance of safety and wellbeing during pregnancy.
On the occasion, apt. Elida Zairina, S.Si., MPH., PhD., FISQua. delivered a talk on "Amalan Selamat Penggunaan Ubat bagi Ibu Hamil dan Bakal Ibu" (Safe Medication Practices for Pregnant Women and Expectant Mothers). In her presentation, she emphasized the importance of safe and appropriate medication use during pregnancy, covering careful medicine selection, the need to consult healthcare professionals, and the risks of taking medication without medical supervision.
The session was received with high enthusiasm by participants, who found the material highly relevant to their everyday needs, particularly in improving maternal and child health literacy. Beyond the educational aspect, the event also served as an avenue for strengthening international collaboration between FF UNAIR and UiTM in the areas of education and community service.
