
The Faculty of Pharmacy at Universitas Airlangga (FF UNAIR) strengthens its strategic efforts in accelerating research commercialization and business development. This commitment was realized through a gathering and coordination meeting on accelerating commercialization, business, and research needs fulfillment conducted together with Dharma Putra Airlangga (DPA), AGT, Abiseka, and Inobi, on Wednesday, June 17, 2026.
The activity, held in the Leadership Conference Room of the Nani Building, Campus C UNAIR, was attended by the deanery team of FF UNAIR and the Director of DPA along with his team. The meeting proceeded in a warm and productive atmosphere as an effort to strengthen synergy between the faculty and strategic partners in supporting the transformation of research results into useful products for society.
During this occasion, both parties discussed various cooperation opportunities to accelerate the commercialization process of innovations generated by the FF UNAIR academic community. Discussions also included strategies for developing research-based business models, mapping research needs supporting product development, and potential collaboration in supporting innovation commercialization.
The FF UNAIR conveyed that collaboration with DPA is an important step in strengthening the innovation ecosystem within the faculty. Through this synergy, research results that have been developed in laboratories are expected to have broader impact through a structured and sustainable commercialization process.
Meanwhile, the DPA Director along with the AGT, Abiseka, and Inobi teams presented various support opportunities that could be provided to FF UNAIR, ranging from business model development, innovation mentoring, to facilitating cooperation with various industry partners. This support is expected to accelerate the journey of innovation from the research stage toward implementation and utilization by society.
Through this meeting, FF UNAIR and DPA committed to continue strengthening collaboration in creating an excellent innovation ecosystem, fostering the emergence of research-based innovative products, and increasing higher education's contribution in supporting the development of the health sector and national industry.
This activity is also in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) through strengthening innovation and research commercialization, as well as SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through strategic collaboration between educational institutions and business development partners in creating lasting impact for society.
