The Faculty of Pharmacy at Universitas Airlangga (FF UNAIR) successfully served as host for the #IAIgoestoCampus: FOCUS JATIM 2026 (Future-Oriented Career for Upcoming Pharmacists East Java) program on Saturday, June 6, 2026. With the theme "Pharmacist Career Readiness Lab: Mental Resilience for Future Pharmacist," this event was specifically designed to address various real-world challenges frequently encountered by fresh graduates in the professional world.
The program was well-received by the Faculty of Pharmacy and successfully attracted enthusiastic participation from pharmacy profession students attending as participants. The event was formally opened through a series of welcoming remarks, beginning with a representative from the Indonesian Pharmacy Association (IAI), an in-depth introduction to the FOCUS program, and warm remarks from Vice Dean I of FF UNAIR, Prof. Helmy.
Career Mapping and Emotional Regulation
Entering the core session, the first topic was presented by Irine Azza, M.Psi., Psychologist, who discussed Career Map. This session aimed to help students map out their professional direction and targets upon completing their studies.
The agenda then continued with the next session featuring Najway Azka Arribbaniy, M.Psi., Psychologist, who thoroughly covered Emotional Regulation. This material on career preparation and mental fortitude was considered highly relevant to the needs of pharmacy students preparing for their next steps after graduation.
Practical Simulations and Two-Way Interaction
Beyond merely presenting theory, this event also featured practical sessions guided by apt. Drs. M. Imron, M.Farm. During this session, participants engaged directly in CV review activities and mock interview roleplay simulations.
The discussion sessions, CV reviews, and interview simulations formed particularly engaging components of the program. Participants received direct feedback regarding their preparedness for recruitment processes. The discussion atmosphere was highly interactive, providing participants with opportunities to actively ask questions and discuss experiences and challenges they faced.
Overall, the FOCUS JATIM 2026 program not only provided insights into career development but also helped participants build confidence and mental readiness to face challenges in the professional world.
