FF UNAIR and PUSPAS Prepare Plans for New Student Parents Communication Forum

The Faculty of Pharmacy at Universitas Airlangga (FF UNAIR) received an audience visit from the Social Fund Management Center (PUSPAS) of Universitas Airlangga on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. The meeting was attended by the Head of PUSPAS and his team, and was welcomed by the Vice Dean I of FF UNAIR, the Student Affairs Section, and faculty representatives.

This audience was held to discuss preparations for a cooperation program titled "New Student Parents Gathering with Universitas Airlangga Leadership." This meeting is premised on the understanding that higher education institutions serve not only as venues for academic development but also play an important role in shaping student character and independence. Given that parental support is crucial to student academic success, an effective communication forum between faculty and parents is needed.

This parents' gathering program aims to establish communication between faculty and parents, convey information regarding the education system, and increase active parental involvement in supporting their children's studies. Based on the concept planned by PUSPAS, this activity will be implemented at each faculty around July to August 2026.

In their presentation, PUSPAS explained that the meeting agenda will include an in-depth introduction to the faculty environment for new student parents. Additionally, PUSPAS also presented information about the management and distribution of three scholarship schemes at Universitas Airlangga:

  1. Educational Scholarship
  2. Character Education Scholarship
  3. Self-Funded Scholarship

Through the Self-Funded Scholarship program, PUSPAS is currently actively seeking donors to help finance students in need, so they can remain focused and continue their studies at Universitas Airlangga without being hindered by financial constraints.

After the presentation, the agenda continued with a discussion session between both parties. Through this coordination, it is hoped that the preparation and implementation of the new student parents gathering forum at the Faculty of Pharmacy can proceed in a mature and well-structured manner.
