apt. Abhimata Paramanandana, S.Farm., M.Sc., a lecturer at the Faculty of Pharmacy at Universitas Airlangga (FF UNAIR), had the honor of serving as a speaker at a guest lecture held at The University of Sydney on Tuesday, April 15, 2026. This academic activity was conducted in person at The University of Sydney campus in Australia.
During this occasion, the lecturer, affectionately known as Pak Bhimo, shared his knowledge and research findings through a presentation titled "Development of Biorelevant In Vitro Dissolution Method for Aerosolised Budesonide and Its Application in Physiologically Based Pharmacokinetic Modelling." The presentation discussed the development of a biorelevant in vitro dissolution method for budesonide aerosol formulations and its application in physiologically-based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) modelling.
In his presentation, Pak Bhimo explained the importance of developing dissolution methods capable of more accurately representing biological conditions. This is crucial in the development process of inhalation drugs, particularly to ensure that predictions of drug performance within the body can be made with greater precision through modern pharmacokinetic modelling approaches.
The guest lecture was enthusiastically received by academics and students at The University of Sydney who are interested in biopharmaceutics, drug delivery, and pharmacokinetic modelling. The discussion that followed the presentation also opened opportunities for the exchange of ideas and future research collaborations.
The participation of apt.
