Faculty of Pharmacy (FF) UNAIR Conducts Health Checks and iTeraCare Therapy in Kediri
The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Airlangga (FF UNAIR), continues to demonstrate its commitment to public health through Community Service (Pengmas) activities. The activity took place on October 4, 2025, in Kediri City, specifically in RW 07, Tosaren Village, Pesantren District. This community service focused on health checks and therapy using the iTeraCare device.
Chaired by Dr. apt. Zamrotul Izzah, M.Sc., this program is part of a series of community service activities routinely carried out by FF UNAIR as a tangible contribution of higher education institutions to improving the welfare and health awareness of communities in various regions in East Java. This activity aligns with SDGs 3 "Good Health and Well-being."
This activity received a warm welcome from 63 participants consisting of housewives, PKK cadres, and Posyandu cadres ILP Flamboyan RT 18, RT 19, and RT 20. The enthusiasm of the participants was seen from the large number of people who came to check their health conditions and get direct experience trying iTeraCare therapy, a non-invasive therapy that utilizes tera hertz frequency waves to help improve blood circulation, reduce muscle pain and increase body cell energy. This therapy was provided by experts, namely apt. Rini Nur 'Aeni, S.Si. and Dr. apt. Sumarno, Sp.FRS. This technology is now starting to be widely researched for its benefits in stimulating body cells and improving circulation.
By partnering with local residents, the community service team hopes this activity can provide a promotional and preventative solution for vulnerable groups such as housewives. "We want the community to be not just objects, but also active subjects in maintaining their health," said Dr. apt. Idha Kusumawati, M.Si., echoed by Prof. Dr. apt. Aniek Setiya Budiatin, M.Si., a member of the implementing team.
In addition to therapy, participants also received health education and open discussions about common daily minor physical complaints, ranging from knee joint pain and back pain to sleep disorders.
