PUI-PT SCT Collaborates with FF UNAIR to Hold CPKB Training and Mentoring in Making Cleansing Balm in Mojokerto
In collaboration with the PUI-PT Skin Health and Cosmetic Technology (PUI-PT SCT), the Faculty of Pharmacy at Universitas Airlangga once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting the development of community-based cosmetic products. On Thursday, October 9, 2025, a community service activity (pengmas) titled "Training on Good Cosmetic Manufacturing Practices (CPKB) and Mentoring in Making Cleansing Balm" was held in Sooko Village, Mojokerto City.
The activity was attended by 33 participants from various professional backgrounds, ranging from business owners and retirees to housewives. The community's enthusiasm was evident from the beginning. They even prepared a line dance performance as a warm welcome for the community service team.
After opening remarks from the Head of PUI-PT SCT and representatives from the Mojokerto Village Unit (ULD Kendedes), the event continued with a counseling session on Good Cosmetic Manufacturing Practices (CPKB) delivered by apt. Yusuf Alif Pratama, S.Farm., M.Farm. In this session, participants gained in-depth knowledge of the standards and stages that must be observed in cosmetic production to ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
Following the briefing session, the activity continued with a hands-on hands-on experience in making cleansing balm. Participants enthusiastically participated in each step, from mixing ingredients to packaging.
This activity is expected to improve community skills in producing quality cosmetic products and encourage the growth of new entrepreneurs in the local cosmetics sector. This activity reflects full support for realizing SDG 4, "Quality Education."
