Faculty of Pharmacy UNAIR Lecturers and Students Conduct International Community Service in Malaysia in Collaboration with UniKL
The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Airlangga (FF UNAIR) once again demonstrated its commitment to international community service. In September 2025, a team of lecturers and students from FF UNAIR conducted an international community service program in Shah Alam, Malaysia, in collaboration with Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM).
This activity is a concrete manifestation of the academic collaboration between FF UNAIR and UiTM, while also strengthening the role of higher education institutions in providing direct contributions to communities across countries.
The program included several activities, including public education about drugs and health, as well as free health checks. Health education was provided to increase public understanding regarding proper medication use, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyles. The health checks included blood pressure and blood sugar checks, as well as health consultations with professionals.
This community service activity received a positive response from the local community. In addition to increasing knowledge, the program also provided direct benefits in maintaining good health.
With this international community service, Faculty of Medicine (FF) UNAIR hopes to continue expanding its global contributions and provide valuable experience for students in applying their knowledge to the international community.
The collaboration between Faculty of Medicine (FF) UNAIR and UniKL, through this activity, has successfully provided health education to the public, even across countries. This effort is concrete evidence of the achievement of SDGs 4 and 17.
