IGSCPS 2025 Successfully Held with Attendance of Hundreds of Participants from Various Countries
The 2025 International Graduate Student Conference on Pharmaceutical Sciences (IGSCPS) was successfully held on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at the Nanizar Zaman Joenoes Building, Faculty of Pharmacy, Airlangga University (FF UNAIR). This international conference brought together hundreds of participants from various countries, including students, researchers, and faculty with a keen interest in pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences.
With the theme "Innovating Global Health and Well-being: Emerging Voices in Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences," IGSCPS 2025 provided a forum for academics, practitioners, and students in the pharmaceutical field to exchange ideas, strengthen collaboration, and generate innovations to improve global health.
The keynote speaker at this event was Mr. apt. Mohamad Kashuri, S.Si., M.Farm., Deputy II of the Food and Drug Administration (BPOM) and a proud alumni of FF UNAIR. His presence emphasized the importance of synergy between academics, regulators, and industry in driving the advancement of pharmaceutical research that directly impacts society.
In addition, the plenary session featured a range of international experts, including Prof. Yashwant V. Pathak, Ph.D. (University of South Florida, United States) and Assoc. Prof. Akihito Yokosuka (Tokyo University of Pharmacy and Life Sciences, Japan).
In the next plenary session, Dr. Nurolaini Kifli from Universiti Brunei Darussalam, Brunei Darussalam, and Dr. Nalinee Pradubyat from Rangsit University, Thailand, shared their knowledge.
Meanwhile, the closing session of the third plenary session was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teoh Teow Chong from the University of Malaya, Malaysia, and Prof. Dr. apt. Djoko Agus Purwanto, M.Si., a professor at Faculty of Pharmacy UNAIR who also serves as Chair of IGSCPS 2025.
The presence of these international speakers enriched participants' insights into the latest trends in pharmaceutical research and development at the global level. With dynamic discussions, IGSCPS 2025 is expected to foster a cross-national research collaboration network while strengthening FF UNAIR's role as an internationally competitive pharmaceutical science center.
FF UNAIR's collaboration with various parties, both domestic and international, to achieve the various objectives of IGSCPS 2025 reflects its full support for realizing SDGs 17 "Partnership for the Goals."
