Brawijaya University Visits FF UNAIR

The brilliant achievements that have often been made by the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Airlangga (FF UNAIR) have made the public increasingly believe that FF UNAIR deserves to be named the best faculty of pharmacy in Indonesia. Along with this predicate, other universities have also made FF UNAIR a "mecca" for establishing new study programs, including Universitas Brawijaya (UB).

On Friday (6/13/2025) in order to prepare for the establishment of a master's study program in the field of Pharmacy, the UB Faculty of Medicine visited FF UNAIR. The visit aimed to strengthen academic networks as well as explore best practices implemented by FF UNAIR.

The team from Universitas Brawijaya who attended were the Chair and Secretary of the Department of Pharmacy, namely Dr. apt. Valentina Yurina, S.Si., M.Si. and Dr. Anggita Rosiana Putri, S.Si. Both were also accompanied by teaching staff from the UB Pharmacy study program, namely, Mrs. apt. Queen Intan Nurrahmah, S.Farm., MedSc., Ph.D., Dr. apt. Anisyah Achmad, S.Si., Sp.FRS., apt. Drs. apt. Bambang Sidharta, MS. and Mr. apt. Rudy Salam, S.Farm., M.Biomed.

Dean of FF UNAIR, Prof. Junaidi Khotib who directly led and opened the discussion on today's visit. Of course he was accompanied by FF UNAIR staff consisting of Coordinators and Secretaries of study programs and Heads and Secretaries of Departments.

FF UNAIR openly shared various experiences in managing master's programs, including in terms of human resource development, utilization of laboratory facilities, and collaboration with the industrial world and health services.

Through this visit, it is hoped that it can be the beginning of a broader collaboration between FF UNAIR and FK UB, especially in strengthening the tri dharma of higher education. FK UB targets the establishment of a study program in the field of pharmaceutical science to be realized soon in the near future, in order to expand access to further education for pharmacy graduates who wish to study pharmaceutical science and practice in greater depth.
