Two Great Professors of FF UNAIR Nominate Themselves as UNAIR Rector for the 2025-2030 Period
On March 11 to March 13, 2025, Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) held a very important agenda, namely the Campus Community Assessment (UMK) for UNAIR Rector candidates for the 2025-2030 period. This time, 11 people from various faculties in UNAIR nominated themselves as Rector. Interestingly, 2 of them are Professors from the Faculty of Pharmacy UNAIR (FF UNAIR).
The two professors from FF UNAIR who nominated themselves as Rector are the Dean of FF UNAIR, Prof. apt. Junaidi Khotib, S.Si., M.Kes., Ph.D. and Prof. Dr. Dwi Setyawan, S.Si., M.Si. who currently also serves as Dean of the Faculty of Advanced Technology and Multidisciplinary (FTMM) UNAIR. Both underwent the assessment on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at the Garuda Mukti Hall UNAIR.
At that time, it was conveyed by the Head of the Rector Candidate Selection Committee, Prof. Dr. Suryanto, M.Si. Psychologist, the main objective of this agenda is to introduce the prospective rectors to the entire UNAIR academic community, namely lecturers, education staff, students and alumni. The entire UNAIR academic community is invited to witness the prospective rectors present their strategic programs and demonstrate their ability to communicate.
"In this forum, the campus community is also given the opportunity to convey their opinions to the rector candidates," said Prof. Dr. Suryanto.
The first rector candidate who was given the opportunity to present his vision and mission and strategic plan was Prof. Dr. apt. Dwi Setyawan, S.Si., M.Si. He presented a presentation entitled "Making UNAIR a World Class University".

After that, it was continued by Prof. apt. Junaidi Khotib, S.Si., M.Kes., Ph.D. The title "Reinventing Local Character Toward Enterprosing University" was chosen by him in explaining the program that was run when he was elected as Rector.
Then the other Rector candidates, namely Prof. Dr. Bambang Suharto, S.ST., MM.Par. and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Madyan, SE., M.Si. M.Fin. respectively also presented their respective strategic programs. Not to forget, the UNAIR academic community who were present were also invited to ask questions to the Rector candidates.
