Pharmashare Provides Free Medical Check Ups as SDGs 3 Implementation
Pharmashare activities carried out in Palangsari Village, Pasuruan, East Java ran smoothly and successfully. Various kinds of activities held on 10–20 July 2024 were well received by local village residents. A series of activities ranging from counseling, cheerful learning, going to school, to free medical check-ups are always busy with local residents.
Considering that FF UNAIR always contributes to improving the quality of public health, free medical check-ups are one of the mandatory agenda items. This activity was carried out on the fifth day of Pharmashare activities. Medical check up activities were carried out in collaboration with KPLA FK UNAIR for assistance from medical personnel. Medical check ups were carried out from morning until evening due to the great enthusiasm of the community with the registration number reaching 99 (ninety nine) registrants. The medical check-up activities include measuring blood pressure, weighing, examination by a doctor, which then includes further examinations in the form of checking cholesterol, blood sugar and uric acid. Not only that, patients can also get medicine for free without being charged.
Apart from that, Mr. apt. Yusuf Alif Pratama, S.Farm., M.Farm. also provided education regarding the prevention of diabetes and hypertension to the residents of Palangsari Village. Apart from providing education about diabetes and hypertension, he also invited the public to carry out anti-cholesterol exercises which were enthusiastically welcomed by the participants. The hope is that this activity can raise awareness among residents to avoid these diseases.
This activity is a real movement of FF UNAIR to fully support the achievement of SDGs 3, namely Good Health and Well-being.
