Selection of Ambassadors for the Faculty of Pharmacy, Airlangga University 2024
On May 19 2024, the Faculty of Pharmacy, Airlangga University (FF UNAIR) held a grand final event for the selection of Faculty of Pharmacy Ambassadors which was lively and full of enthusiasm. This event aims to select the best students who will become faculty representatives in various promotional activities and programs.
This grand final was attended by invited guests, lecturers and FF UNAIR students who gave full support to the finalists. The participants who have gone through a series of rigorous selections showcase their talents, speaking skills, and knowledge about the world of pharmacy.
This event was also marked by student performances, namely the AVICEL Band, which added to the festive atmosphere. Apart from that, there was a question and answer session which tested the finalists' ability to answer critical questions about pharmacy and the role of ambassadors in educating the public about the importance of health and the correct use of medicines.
After going through a strict selection of candidates from the jury, the 2024 FF UNAIR Ambassador was officially announced. This title is given to students who not only have brilliant academic achievements, but also demonstrate good communication skills and dedication in promoting the positive values of FF UNAIR.
This event had a very lasting impression on the hearts of the 2024 ambassador finalists and also the 2023 ambassadors. "Honestly, I really didn't expect that I would be the winner, I'm really grateful for all the convenience and everything that Allah has helped us up to this point. This is a very big trust for me too, and I am sure that everything that Allah entrusts to us is definitely the best. "So I really hope that with this mandate I can be as responsible as possible, synergizing to build positive things for myself and others too," said Marita (2022), one of the finalists for the 2024 selected ambassador who is also the 2024 Pharmacy Ambassador.
Not only Marita, Dafi (2022) as the 2023 Ambassador also gave his impressions. “For me, this grand final event is the biggest event we have ever done together and is also a moment of farewell for us. My one year journey with my UNAIR 2023 Pharmacy Ambassador friends gave me so many lessons and unforgettable moments. As an overseas student, I feel like I have a second family in this city. They are a place when I laugh, need someone to talk to, have a headache thinking about ambassadorial duties and activities, and when I am sad about the end of this trip. We have served for 1 year as representatives of the UNAIR Faculty of Pharmacy and now it is time for us to part ways and say goodbye. "UNAIR Pharmacy Ambassador is about being representative, bringing a positive image and all the beautiful moments that accompany it," said Dafi.
With this moment, it is hoped that the selected ambassadors can inspire other students and take an active role in various community, educational and promotional activities related to pharmacy. With the presence of faculty ambassadors, it is hoped that FF UNAIR will become more widely known and make a real contribution to society.
