FF UNAIR served as one of the host locations for the series of activities for Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB), commonly known as AMERTA. Over two days, from July 31 to August 1, 2026, approximately 700 prospective new students from various UNAIR faculties participated in various briefing sessions centered at the Nanizar Zaman Joenoes Building (NANI Building), Campus C UNAIR.
The activity, attended by the Rector of Universitas Airlangga along with university leadership, took place at several locations: the NANI Building Auditorium, Room 5.1, Room 5.3, and Room 6.1. Participants attended a series of material presentations designed to provide an initial understanding of academic life at Universitas Airlangga, ranging from learning systems, student services, campus facilities, to various important information that would support their adaptation process as new students.
As the host, FF UNAIR also supported the smooth implementation of activities through provision of facilities and coordination with the university-level AMERTA committee. The entire series of activities was designed to proceed in an orderly, comfortable, and conducive manner so that participants could optimally follow each briefing session.
In its implementation, FF UNAIR leadership together with several lecturers were also trusted as speakers to deliver various materials. The presence of leaders and lecturers was expected to provide insights to prospective new students regarding academic culture, campus life ethics, and various opportunities for self-development while pursuing education at UNAIR.
Beyond obtaining information about academic aspects, participants were also introduced to various supporting facilities owned by the university, student services, and programs that could support the development of competencies, leadership, and student character. The presence of the Rector UNAIR at this activity represented support for the process of introducing campus life to new students while affirming the university’s commitment to providing a quality initial experience for all prospective students.
Through the implementation of AMERTA 2026 in the FF UNAIR environment, it is hoped that prospective new students can begin their academic journey equipped with knowledge, motivation, and spirit to become individuals who are excellent, innovative, and contribute to society. FF UNAIR’s active involvement in supporting this activity also reflects the faculty’s commitment to creating a collaborative educational environment that supports the development of the nation’s successor generation.
