Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Airlangga (FF UNAIR) hosted an educational visit from students of MAN 1 Batu City on Monday, March 30, 2026. The event took place in the Nanizar Zaman Joenoes Building Hall and was attended by more than 100 eleventh-grade students accompanied by their teachers.
The visit aimed to provide the students with insight into the world of college, particularly in the field of pharmacy, while also introducing them to the academic environment of FF UNAIR. This was especially appropriate, considering that they were still in 11th grade, allowing them to prepare for further studies thoroughly.
The event began with remarks from a representative of FF UNAIR, apt. Firmansyah Ardian Ramadhani, S.Farm., M.Farm., a member of the FF UNAIR Student Affairs Commission. In his remarks, he expressed his appreciation for the students' visit and hoped that this activity would provide a clearer picture of education and career prospects in the field of pharmacy.
Next, a welcome speech was delivered by the representative of the Principal of MAN 1 Kota Batu, who expressed his gratitude for the opportunity given to the students to learn more about the world of higher education at Faculty of Pharmacy UNAIR.
The event then continued with a screening of a video profile of Faculty of Pharmacy UNAIR and presentations on study programs, the learning process, various career opportunities, and profiles of pharmacy graduates.
The discussion session was one of the most engaging parts of the session. They enthusiastically asked various questions to the speakers. The questions ranged from curiosity about the possibility of the pharmacist profession being replaced by artificial intelligence (AI), experiences and challenges during their studies at Faculty of Pharmacy UNAIR, to tips for maintaining consistent study habits to achieve acceptance as a student at Faculty of Pharmacy UNAIR.
