The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Airlangga (FF UNAIR), conducted an exploratory visit to the Airlangga University Veterinary Hospital (RSH UNAIR) on Monday, February 23, 2026. The visit aimed to discuss opportunities for opening a veterinary pharmacy and developing other collaborations in the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.
The visit was attended by the Dean's Office, the Head of the Practical Pharmacy Department, and the Coordinator of the FF UNAIR Undergraduate Pharmacy Study Program. The FF UNAIR delegation was warmly welcomed by the UNAIR Veterinary Hospital, which expressed its openness to various forms of cross-disciplinary collaboration.
During the meeting, both parties discussed plans to establish a veterinary pharmacy as a supporting facility for pharmaceutical services in the field of animal health. Potential collaborations in education, research, and community service were also discussed, including the involvement of lecturers and students in practical activities, joint research, and relevant community service programs.
Through this exploratory activity, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FF) UNAIR hopes to expand its strategic collaboration network with units within Universitas Airlangga, particularly in the development of veterinary pharmacy science and practice. This collaboration is expected to make a tangible contribution to improving the quality of animal health education and services, while also supporting the sustainable implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. This activity aligns with SDGs 17.
