Inviting the Cosmetics Industry, FF UNAIR Holds Workshop to Strengthen Collaboration and Revitalize Student Competency Standards

Workshop on Strengthening Networks with Partners and Revitalizing Competency Standards

In order to produce reliable and professional graduates, the Faculty of Pharmacy, Airlangga University (FF UNAIR) collaborates with various parties to improve the quality of learning. This is the basis for holding the activity "Workshop on Strengthening Networks with Partners and Revitalizing Competency Standards in the Cosmetics Sector as a Follow-up to the Independent Campus Competition Program (PKKM)".

This important agenda will be held on July 27 2024 at the Morazen Hotel Surabaya. At that time there were 35 workshop participants.

The aim of this activity is to obtain an MBKM learning module in the field of cosmetics. Apart from that, FF UNAIR also wants to increase networking with partners and obtain activities/programs to strengthen the competency of Bachelor of Pharmacy graduates in the field of cosmetics as well as to implement learning activities in academic institutions and industrial internships.

This workshop activity is in line with SDGs point 17, namely partnership for the goals.

This activity presented several speakers. The first resource person is Mr. Apt. Muhammad Kashuri, M. Farm. who serves as Deputy for Supervision of Traditional Medicines, Health Supplements and Cosmetics at BPOM who presented material entitled "Regulation of Cosmetic Products and updates on learning materials and processes in Higher Education".

Then continued with a presentation by Prof. Dr. Elly Munadziroh., drg., MS. who is the Director of the Directorate of Career Development, Entrepreneurship Incubation and Alumni at Airlangga University. He presented "Optimizing internship learning in industry and campuses to increase graduate competency".

After ishoma, the material presentation agenda was carried out again. The third speaker is Mrs. apt. Lestari, S.Si.  as QA manager PT. Martina Berto, Tbk. explains "CPKB-1 Aspects in the cosmetics industry and learning for students".

Finally, material regarding "CPKB-2 Aspects in the cosmetic manufacturing industry and learning for students" was explained by the CEO and Founder of PT. Pillars Cosmetiklon Indonesia, namely Mr. apt. Suhaidiar Sulaiman.

At the end of the session, there was a discussion regarding the MBKM internship module in the industrial sector, led by the Coordinator of the Undergraduate Study Program, Mr. apt. Chrismawan Ardianto, S.Farm., M.Sc., Ph.D.
