
FF UNAIR Delegates Perform Piring Dance at ACCP 2024
This month seven delegates from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Airlangga University (FF UNAIR) took part in the 23rd Asian Conference on Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) in Hong Kong SAR, China. This year, the prestigious conference which is held every year was successfully held on 25-28 July 2024.
ACCP 2024 carries the theme "Interprofessional Collaboration for Better and Cost-Effective Outcomes". Taking place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center, the activity began with a pre-conference workshop on Pharmacy Education, especially in the field of Interprofessional Education. Then the conference opened with an opening ceremony and a refresher on the history of the Asian Conference on Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) and the development of clinical pharmacy in Asia. The event continued with giving seminars by keynote speakers.
On the first day, after the conference session ended, in the evening a gala dinner and networking was held. Uniquely, on this occasion, the delegates from FF UNAIR presented the Piring Dance from West Sumatra to introduce Indonesian culture to all ACCP 2024 participants who were present from various countries.
On the 2nd and 3rd days of the conference, all FF UNAIR delegates attended seminars and symposiums which were followed by oral presentations. Not only that, several delegates from FF UNAIR also have important tasks in implementing ACCP 2024. Dr. Yunita Nita served as a speaker at the symposium, while Prof. apt. Junaidi Khotib and apt. Gesnita Nugraheni served as the oral presentation judge. Apart from that, Dr. Elida Zairina served as Chair of the symposium.
The event ended with a closing ceremony where Dr. Elida Zairina announced that Indonesia will host the 2025 ACCP. The plan is for the beautiful and exotic Island of the Gods (Bali) to be chosen as the venue for the 2025 ACCP.
