Abstract Guidelines

All accepted and presented abstracts will be published in the IGSCPS 2026 abstract book.

Please adhere to the following guidelines to ensure a smooth submission and review process.

1. Abstract Format
   1. Abstracts must present a concise summary of the research, including: background, objectives, methodology, results, and conclusions.
   2. The abstract must be a single paragraph with a word count between 175 and 300 words.
   3. Provide up to six keywords in letters (excluding proper nouns and scientific names), separated with commas.
   4. Do not include sub headings, bullet points, lists, citations, or references in the abstract.
2. Title and terminology
   1. Abstract titles should be short, descriptive, and informative. Avoid abbreviations in the title.
   2. Acronyms should be written in full at first mention, followed by the acronym in parentheses.
   3. Use SI Units
   4. Scientific names must be italicized.
   5. Use standard chemical notation (e.g., CaCO₃ not CaCO3) and place a zero before decimal points (e.g., 0.45, not .45).
3. Formatting Requirements
   1. Title: Times New Roman, 12 pt; bold, capitalized, centered.
   2. Abstract Body: Times New Roman, 11 pt; single spaced, one column, justified alignment.
   3. Author affiliations:
      • Times New Roman, 11 pt, single-spaced, centered
      • Indicate affiliations with superscript Arabic numerals following the surname/family name.
      • If there is more than one name and address, they should be related by superscript numbers.
      • Use a superscript asterisk (*) for the corresponding author.
      • Include the full institutional affiliations and country.
      • Underline the presenting author.
   4. Guidelines for the abstract structure
      1. Abstracts must reflect the original work.
      2. Both informative and critical abstracts are accepted.
      3. Abstracts must be written in English.
      4. Clearly indicate the most relevant themes for your abstract from the conference tracks.
      5. Please download the official abstract template and follow the format carefully.
      6. Abstracts not conforming to the template will be returned for revision.
      7. Submissions received after the specified deadline will not be accepted under any circumstances, unless an official deadline extension is announced.
      8. Abstract should be submitted in the format of MS Word document (.doc or .docx).

   5. Abstract Submission and Review Process
      1. Submit your abstract using the abstract submission system available via your participant account.
      2. Upon submission, you will receive an automatic acknowledgment via email.
      3. All abstracts will undergo double-blind peer review by the Scientific Committee within a week after receipt.
      4. Review outcomes will be communicated starting from August 11, 2026.
      5. If revisions are requested, the updated version must be submitted within one week.
      6. The Conference Chair, who also serves as the Head of the Scientific Committee, will make the final decision regarding the acceptance of all abstracts.
   6. Presentation and Awards
      1. Each submitted abstract will be evaluated for suitability as either a 3-minute oral presentation (for students) or an oral presentation (for non-students).
      2. The presenter must present during presentation sessions and cannot be delegated to another authors/research member.
      3. The presenter must be part of the research team.
      4. Authors selected for oral presentations will be invited to present their work during the conference and compete for the Best Oral Presentation Award.
