STEPS TO BE EXCELLENT

After 6 months of preparation for the certification of ISO 9001, finally at 21-22nd July 2008 was the time for Faculty of Pharmacy to be audited by the external auditors from URS (The Certification Committee). Both of auditors, Mr. Rudy Wijaya from URS Indonesia and Mr. Puah Chum Mok from Singapore assessed management of "Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi" that is consisted of education, research and community services plus external collaboration.

The audit on the first day was held until 6 pm and Mr. Rudy Wijaya as the auditor preferred to examine the conformance between the documents prepared and the implementation

On the second day, Mr. Puah Chum Mok started to audit the top management (including management responsibility and resources management) and academic process on the Faculty. Most of Mr. Mok’s duty was observing around the faculty, checked the condition and housekeeping of every rooms and laboratories. He also communicated with the students in order to find their opinion about the facility and privileges given by the faculty.

At the end of the assessment, both of the auditors were pleased to recommend Faculty of Pharmacy Airlangga University to achieve Certificate of ISO 9001 : 2000 and hoped that the Faculty would do the improvement steps to be excellent.
