PUI-PT SCT Field Visit
The Skin and Cosmetic Technology (SCT) Center of Excellence (PUI-PT) received a field visit from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology. The visit took place on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at the Nanizar Zaman Joenoes Building, Campus C, UNAIR.
This visit was part of an evaluation process aimed at assessing the achievements and performance of PUI-PT SCT in developing a national research center of excellence. PUI-PT SCT UNAIR focuses on research on cosmetic delivery systems and their evaluation to produce cosmetic preparations that meet quality standards, namely stability, effectiveness, safety, and acceptability. The studies conducted covered various types of preparations, ranging from anti-aging products, sunscreens, skin care products, to hair extension products.
During this visit, Prof. Hanny and the DPPM team not only held discussions and evaluations but also directly tested several innovative products resulting from PUI-PT SCT research. They also had the opportunity to use the Dermalab tool, a sophisticated skin evaluation device owned by PUI-PT SCT UNAIR. This experience provided a concrete illustration of the data-driven and high-tech approach applied in cosmetic research and development by the PUI-PT SCT team.
