BEM FF UNAIR Achieves Excellence at the 2025 Asia Pacific Pharmaceutical Symposium in Malaysia

The 2025 Asia Pacific Pharmaceutical Symposium (APPS) was successfully held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, as the largest annual forum bringing together pharmacy students from across the Asia Pacific region under the auspices of the International Pharmaceutical Students' Federation Asia Pacific Regional Office (IPSF APRO). The event hosted various activities, including scientific symposiums, interactive workshops, and cultural exchanges. The Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Airlangga (BEM FF UNAIR), participated as an active delegate, not only attending but also achieving impressive results.

At APPS 2025, BEM FF UNAIR won several prestigious awards at the regional level. One of them was 1st place in the IPSF APRO Best Member Organization category, demonstrating outstanding dedication and contribution as a member organization. BEM FF UNAIR also won the Best Delegation award in APPS 2025, demonstrating the solidarity and quality of its delegates' contributions throughout the event. BEM FF UNAIR played an active role in the 2025 Deaf Awareness Week project, initiated by BEM FF UI in collaboration with various organizations. This project won two awards: Best Collaborative Project and Best Collaborative Project IPSF APRO. These awards are clear evidence that cross-border collaboration among Indonesian pharmacy students can have a significant impact on inclusive health issues.

BEM FF UNAIR shone not only as an organization but also individually; its members received recognition for their active roles in IPSF. Ms. Karyn Puspitasari Chan from BEM FF UNAIR was awarded the 2nd Best Liaison Officer IPSF APRO for her outstanding efforts in maintaining strong and active communication between local and regional organizations. Meanwhile, Mr. Evan Chris Tanto was awarded the 3rd Best Student Exchange Officer IPSF APRO, thanks to his leadership in running the IPSF student exchange program efficiently and impactfully. These achievements demonstrate the ability of Indonesian pharmacy students, particularly those from Universitas Airlangga, to compete and contribute internationally with a spirit of collaboration and high professionalism. Thank you to all 41 BEM FF UNAIR delegates for their extraordinary dedication and enthusiasm.
