On 3-4 September 2024, two lecturers from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Airlangga University (FF UNAIR) attended an international congress. Mr. apt. Mahardian Rahmadi, S.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D. and Mr. apt. Chrismawan Ardianto, S.Farm., M.Sc., Ph.D. attended the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) World Congress held in Cape Town, the capital of South Africa.

Every year FF UNAIR always sends delegations to take part in FIP World Congress activities which are also attended by pharmacists from various countries. This cannot be separated from the close collaboration between FF UNAIR and FIP. In this way, FF UNAIR contributes to advancing science in the field of pharmacy in order to improve the quality of health for both the country and the world.

This time the theme raised at the 2024 FIP World Congress is "Innovating for the future of healthcare". In accordance with the theme, this activity is expected to be able to explore the enormous potential for innovation in health services, so that it can create more personalized, efficient and cost-effective services. By embracing these advances and cultivating a culture of innovation, we can envision a future where healthcare is truly patient-centered, preventative, and sustainable.

In this activity, Mr Mahardian and Mr Chrismawan also presented the results of their research and then discussed them with the congress participants who were present. Likewise, Mr Mahardian and Mr Chrismawan gained a lot of new knowledge from the other participants which can be used for the advancement of health services in the country.

This activity is a form of application of SDGs point 3 which focuses on Good Health and Well-being.
