FF UNAIR Students Fly to Thailand for a Visit to Mahasarakham University

FF UNAIR Students Visiting Mahasarakham University

On 13-23 August 2024, students from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Airlangga University (FF UNAIR) carried out Student Outbound activities to Mahasarakham University Thailand, which is located in the Northeast of Thailand. At that time there were 10 students who departed, consisting of 9 students from the Period 118 Pharmacist Professional Program (Agda Rismafuri Mukti Kirana, Farrah Yulian Listyandi, Fahrul Rozi Saputro, Firdha Fauzia, Kiki Antafa Najla, Natasha Vine Angelique, Riko Setiawan, Wynne Tara Elvira , Yussi Ananda) and 1 Master of Pharmacy student (Evi Nurain Murandani).

Before making a direct visit to Mahasarakham University, an online meeting was first held via the zoom meeting platform on August 6 2024. The purpose of this meeting was to get to know each other with representatives of the lecturers and also the student club, namely the Young Ambassadors, before meeting in person later.

During 10 days at Mahasarakham University Thailand, FF UNAIR students gained a lot of new experience and knowledge. They were given views regarding "Introduction to Healthcare Systems in Thailand" which generally discusses health, the health and pharmaceutical service system, as well as health insurance in Thailand. Not only that, they also took part in Thai Culture and Language activities as well as several other cultural exchange activities.

FF UNAIR students also had the opportunity to carry out research practice in Mahasarakham University's laboratory. A visit to the mini industry and hospital owned by Mahasarakham University was also carried out. They were also invited to carry out home care visits to several patients.

Before returning to their homeland, at the end of the series of student outbound activities, FF UNAIR students carried out a summary of the experience activity. They provide feedback on activities that have been carried out. At that time the Dean and several lecturers from Mahasarakham University Thailand were also present.
