PKM Team Passes Funding
The Student Creativity Program or PKM is the most anticipated agenda for students organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemdikbudristek). PKM is a prestigious event because students from each campus will compete to create their latest innovations.
This program can be participated in by diploma and undergraduate students throughout Indonesia, including students at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Airlangga University (FF UNAIR). In 2024, thirteen teams whose members come from the Faculty of Pharmacy will successfully qualify for funding.
The teams that passed the funding were the PKM-RE and PKM-K teams. One of the PKM-K teams consisting of Adela Febry Widiana (FPK), Aprodita Azzahra Hadiansyah (FPK), Anisa Aqilla Zahirah Salsabila (FPK), Rosinta Dewi Anggraeni (FF) and Ade Irma Puspita Sari (FKp) brought up an idea with the title "MOOEW: "Innovation of Eco-Friendly Hair Tonic Gel Based on Hydroxyproline, Mackerel Fish Bone Waste with Chamomile Extract, Solution for Cat Alopecia." This product was developed with natural ingredients as the main ingredient and is sold at an affordable price to meet cat care needs. In the midst of their busy studies, the PKM Team took the time to develop the product until it was successful in the market.
"We fully hope that the innovations we develop can be useful for other people. For us, getting funding is something that must be utilized as well as possible. Apart from the team's hard work, support from friends, family and the academic community plays an important role in the success of our product "said Rosinta, FF UNAIR students who passed the funding
During the product development and proposal creation process, this team was guided by Dr. Ir. Adriana Monica Sahidu, M.Kes who is an expert lecturer in her field.
The selection of this innovation is based on phenomena that exist in the surrounding environment, ranging from the problem of cat hair loss to product prices which tend to be expensive. With the MOOEW hair tonic innovation, it is hoped that this problem can be overcome, because this product is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and "Good Health and Well-Being" in maintaining healthy cat skin and fur.
