THE 3RD INTERNATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL AIPHE: INTRODUCTION TO INDONESIAN CULTURE THROUGH JAMU AND AROMATHERAPY

On August 18, 2022, located in Hall 1 floor of Nanizar Zaman Joenoes Building and broadcast via APTFI digital channel, Faculty of Pharmacy Universitas Airlangga held a Hybrid Webinar entitled "The Soul of Jamu and Bromo Cultural Remedies" which was the opening of a series of events The 3rd International Summer School Association of Indonesian Pharmacy Higher Education (AIPHE) Year of 2022. This event was attended by 54 participants who attended offline and 1,373 participants through digital channels.

This webinar presents four speakers from various countries. The four speakers include, Prof. Dr. Daryono Hadi Tjahjono, Sc. Eng who delivered the material "The Role of Universities in the Development of Herbal Products", Dr. Ram Kumar Sahu who delivered the material "Development of Herbal Aromatherapy in India", Prof. Dr. Katsuyoshi Matsunami who delivered the material on "Development of Herbal Medicine and Its Use in Japan", and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kornkanok Inganinan who delivered the last material, namely "Development of Herbal Cosmetics and Its Use in Thailand".

The event started with the opening of the MC, then continued with the performance of the Gandrung Kembar Menur dance. After that, the event continued with singing the anthem Indonesia Raya and the Airlangga Hymn. The event then continued with remarks from the dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Airlangga, Prof. apt. Junaidi Khotib, M.Kes., Ph.D. Through his speech, he said that this event is an effort so that pharmacy education in Indonesia can achieve high standards and get recognition from the world. "This is part of the effort so that the pharmaceutical education in Indonesia can achieve great standards and get global recognition," said Prof. apt. Junaidi Khotib, M.Kes., Ph.D. After the speech, the event continued with the presentation of material from each presenter. Participants seemed very enthusiastic and actively asked questions, such as asking "How to determine the standard quality of a product if there is no standard guideline in our country's Pharmacopoeia?" and "What aspects distinguish pseudo-drugs from actual drugs?".

The event closed with the presentation of certificates to the presenters and moderators. Participants were then given a quiz to work on and continued with the delivery of the agenda the next day by the MC.
