MOA OFFICIALLY SIGNED, FF UNAIR IS READY TO COLLABORATE WITH J99 CORP

On January 19, 2022, the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Airlangga (FF UNAIR) has officially collaborated with J99 Corp. On that day, the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was carried out between the Dean of FF UNAIR, Prof. Junaidi Khotib with the CEO of J99 Corp, Mr. Danang Yuanto who is also an alumni of FF UNAIR. This collaboration is the first collaboration performed by J99 Corp with universities in the context of implementing education, research, and community service in order to support the Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) program. J99 Corp itself is a holding company which houses several companies in various business fields, one of which is the well-known skin care and cosmetic brand “MS Glow”.

The signing of the MoA was attended by principals and staffs of FF UNAIR. In addition, four leaders from J99 Corp were also present, including Mr. Danang Yuanto (CEO of J99 Corp), Mr. Suluk Waseso Segoro (Chief Human Resources of J99 Corp), Mrs. Titis Indah (President Director of PT Kosme), and Mrs. Sheila Pangkey. (PT Kosmetika Cantik Indonesia). Interestingly, Mr. Danang Yuanto and Mrs. Titis Indah are a married couple who are alumni of FF UNAIR. Both admitted that they were very enthusiastic and blissful because they could work with their beloved alma mater.

The whole series of events was well guided by Dr. Melanny Ika Sulistyowaty as the MC that day. The event began with a prayer reciting, then continued with the signing of the MoA script and followed by the symbolic giving of souvenirs by Prof. Junaidi Khotib to Mr. Danang Yuanto. After that, the event continued with the giving of remarks from both parties represented by Prof. Junaidi and Mr. Danang. Afterward, Prof. Junaidi invited the audience to discuss together.

In the discussion session, several things were talked about including what kind of readiness and areas of cooperation that can be reached by both parties. Not only that, several suggestions and proposals related to collaborative activities that might be carried out have also emerged.

The representatives from J99 Corp who were present that day also did not want to miss the opportunity to exchange ideas with FF UNAIR staff. Mr. Suluk Waseso Segoro conveyed some of his views regarding what skills Human Resources (HR) are much needed in the industrial sector nowadays. A similar view was also conveyed by Mrs. Sheila Pangkey. On that occasion, Mrs. Titis Indah added that graduates from the pharmaceutical study program must be able to compete with graduates from other study programs. He feels that this can be realized by looking at the potentials that exist today.

The discussion on that day was considered very useful and could open new insights for FF UNAIR staff in order to produce more excellent human resources in the world of work. The event closed with a group photo session in front of the Nanizar Zaman Joenoes Building, Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Airlangga.
