Guidelines for Oral Presentation

Presentation Material Preparation

Please read the following technical requirements:

 

Description

Language

All presenters are expected to use English

Presentation Time

Each presenter is allocated 10 minutes ( 7 minutes for presentationand 3 minutes for discussion). The time allotted for each presentation will be strictly observed.

 

The timekeeper will use bell sounds to signal the remaining time. The bell will ring as follows:

Once at the 5th minutes: Two more minutes left for the presentation. Twice at the 7th minutes: End of the presentation and start of discussion.

Three times at the 10th minutes: End of discussion.

Equipment Projection

Only single projection is available.

Laptop or PC

 

Please use the laptop or PC prepared in the session room, on which each presenter’s presentation material is uploaded by the secretariat in advance.

Technical Details:

The PC will run on Windows 10 with Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2016 and Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Submission of presentation materials

For ONLINE PARTICIPANTS, submission of presentation materials (video/recorded PowerPoint presentation) is REQUIRED in advance. We kindly ask presenters to submit presentation materials via the following link:

by September 1, 2024, at 17:00 (WIB, UTC+7).

 

For OFFLINE PARTICIPANTS, the presentation materials need to be copied to the laptop or PC prepared on the transfer desk prior to the presentation schedule.

 

For BOTH PARTICIPANTS, please rename the file according to the abstract ID, e.g.: S1_OP00x_presenter name, which:

S1: Session 1

OP00x: Abstract ID as written in the Letter of Acceptance

File Types

The format file should be MS PowerPoint or pdf (for backup file). Movies, animations and audios requiring a special application cannot work on the PC prepared in the session room. GIF animations may work with PowerPoint.

In case that presentation slides are linked with other data files, please place the linked files in the same folder where the presentation slides are stored. Please also check in advance whether the linked files can work correctly with the presentation slides.

For offline participants, please check the file during the file copying process.

NOTES:

  • Online presenters should join the meeting platform assigned by the committee and be available for live discussion after the pre-recorded presentation.
  • Offline presenters should be ready in the presentation room 10 minutes before the session starts. Please be seated in the speaker’s standby seat placed at the front of the room when the speaker ahead of you begins the presentation!
  • Basically, presentations from presenters’ own personal laptops are NOT allowed to ensure smooth running of the presentation sessions.
