Disaster Management

Within the event of Pharma-Day 2019, group A-1 that consisted of 11 students of Faculty of Pharmacy in the seventh semester carried out health promotion at the Health Service Center (PLK) in Campus B Universitas Airlangga (Wednesday, November 26, 2019 at 9-11 am) with the theme "Disaster Management" which aimed to provide counseling on disaster management (before, during, and after) in pharmaceutical aspects to the community.

This health promotion was carried out using board game media in the form of snakes and ladders. This game consisted of 16 points which contained questions about disaster management. The target of this health promotion was PLK visitors who were willing to take part in the game and answer questions. To attract the attention of visitors, the group prepared rewards for visitors who answeedr at least three questions correctly and reached the finish line first. The prizes was in the form of a bottle of antiseptic gel and one strip of Vitacimin for visitors who were willing to play. After playing, the visitors were given a questionnaire to see the level of satisfaction, criticism, and suggestions.

Some visitors gave positive responses related to health promotion conducted "The games are very interesting, maybe it can be developed digitally by creating an application so that tje information can be more detailed and easily accessible to the wider community." There were also those who recommended health promotion every month so that people know the importance of maintaining health from an early age. However, some people also gave advice that the venue where this program carried out should be wider and more conducive.

In practice, not all visitors were willing to play for several reasons. One of them was due to the patient's condition which was not possible and refused to participate in the game. Thus, for further health promotion, especially with media board games, it can be considered to be carried out elsewhere with the target community that is more likely to participate.
